  • What is the Wellness Open Innovation Challenge?
    The Wellness Open Innovation Challenge aims to catalyse partnerships between solution providers and established companies, with the goal of seeding co-development of impactful solutions that can revolutionise the wellness economy, locally and globally. ​The focus areas of this challenge include Fitness, Personal Care, and Travel. Six participating corporate partners have provided eight challenge statements across these themes.
  • How do I participate in the Wellness Open Innovation Challenge?
    You can submit any number of applications at the application portal.
  • Who is eligible?
    The Challenge is open to all local and foreign registered startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”).
  • When is the deadline for submission?
    Applications must be completed on the submission portal by 30 September, 11.59pm.
  • When will I know the outcome?
    Winners will be announced by January 2024.
  • Can I join multiple challenge statements?
    Yes, there is no limit to the number of challenge statements you may apply for.
  • Can I collaborate with other companies?
    Yes.
  • Will I be eligible for any funding from Enterprise Singapore if my proposal is selected?
    Enterprise Singapore may support local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the Enterprise Development Grant (“EDG”) (for eligible enterprises). Awarded participants are required to submit a proposal for the grant through the Business Grant Portal (“BGP”). More details of the EDG may be found here. Alternatively, the Organiser may support the awarded innovators with a Proof-of-Concept (POC) Development Grant. Eligibility for the grant, actual quantum, early stage POC milestones tied to the grant and payment tranche(s) will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore, in consultation with the challenge owner and the awarded innovator.
  • Do I need to follow a template for submission?
    No! You may submit a pdf or ppt (less than 10mb) in any format that puts your proposal in the best light.
  • Will I have to give up equity or IP?
    All background intellectual property (IP) rights are owned by creators. Commercialisation of IP generated during this challenge shall be negotiated separately between the participants and the challenge statement owner. For more information, please refer to the rules and regulations.
  • What is the evaluation process?
    After the closing of the application period, a judging panel will evaluate all applications, and shortlist several applications for each challenge for further assessment. In this further assessment phase, you may be required to submit further information about your proposal, and/or attend evaluation sessions either remotely or physically to pitch your solution.
  • Should it be mentioned in my application form if my proposal costs more than the prizes to be awarded and would require more support?
    Yes, you should mention the estimated cost required for your proposed solution and the potential support required, which would be taken into consideration during the evaluation phase.
  • What should I do if I require an NDA to allow for a fair evaluation of my solution?
